Karina Lucid appeared in a New Jersey Law Journal article, ‘Can’t Erase These Images’: The Legal Community Remembers 9/11. In the article, attorneys shared a range of stories about their personal September 11 experiences and the lasting memories. Accordingly, Lucid reflects on September 11 and its impact on her.

Lucid was a newlywed and second-year law student at Seton Hall Law on Sept. 11, 2001. She recalls not being able to contact her husband who was working in New York City that day. Further, she recollects the haunting image of bodies falling from the towers. And the relief when her husband eventually made his way home. Lucid reflects, “Twenty years later, I still have those images in my head, and feel sorrow for the victims and their families.”
